The Helping Halls Project

2 days / 15 hours per week – £13 per hour – 12 months contract initially. Working from home and with some travel around North Pembrokeshire 

The Helping Halls project has an interesting new Project Officer job available, supporting the volunteers who run community halls in North Pembrokeshire – helping the halls to serve their communities, increase the number of volunteers and hall users, and encouraging  the halls to become sustainable enterprises. The role would suit a self-motivated person with a creative imagination, who is able to work with people from all walks of life.    Ideally suited to someone who is an experienced volunteer or volunteer manager, or someone who is used to working within communities to understand and respond to local peoples’ needs.

Independent Community Mental Health Advocate – 22 hours per week initially for 12 months – subject to funding. Full application pack available from admin@advocacywestwales.org.uk

Salary: Unqualified – £23,625 per annum full time equivalent (FTE); Qualified – £26,203 per annum FTE (qualified with Independent Advocacy Qualification at Diploma Level)

Summary of Role: Based in Carmarthen (based mainly from home during the Covid-19 pandemic but expected to do face-to-face advocacy work with clients) you will be a key member of AWW-EGC’s independent community mental health advocacy service for adults provided across Carmarthenshire. You will be working to establish drop-in advocacy services at venues in Ammanford and Llanelli.
