It is the intention of the Company to provide safe and healthy working conditions for all its employees, and to ensure that work done does not adversely affect the health and safety of others.
All work will be carried out in accordance with the requirements of the Health & Safety at Work Act and all other relevant Acts, Regulations, Codes of Practice and Guidance Notes.
Management and supervisory staff have the responsibility for implementing this policy throughout the company and must ensure that health and safety are always given priority in planning and day to day supervision of work.
This policy will be available for inspection in all work places. The policy will be explained to new employees at their induction.
The company shall consult employees in good time in matters relating to their health and safety in accordance with the Health and Safety (Consultation with Employees) Regulations 1996.
All employees will receive an induction on joining the company and will be provided with necessary information and training in respect of risks to their health and safety which may arise out of their work.
The co-operation and support of all employees are necessary to achieve the objectives of this safety policy. Whilst individual responsibilities are listed, it should be borne in mind that these are not restrictive, and that everyone should play a part in making the workplace safe and healthy.
Welfare facilities will be provided in accordance with the Workplace (Health, Safety and Welfare) Regulations and the Construction (Health, Safety and Welfare) Regulations.
This policy will be reviewed not less than annually at the first meeting each year of the Policy Committee for Health, Safety and Welfare.
